Virtual Intensives

What is a virtual intensive?

A virtual intensive is a multi day (up to 5), highly focused coaching series designed to support your child's gross motor development, goals and mobility from the comfort of your own home.

We meet for one hour a day on Zoom and goals will be discussed at the start of the week. Each session takes place in your child's real living environment, using items and spaces they already interact with every day.

How does it work?

During each session, I coach you (or your child's caregiver or nanny) through therapeutic activities while I observe, guide and adjust in real time.

You are helping your child hands on and I am:

-Demonstrating exercises

-Ensuring proper form and alignment

-Problem solving mobility

-Helping you understand what your child needs moment to moment

-Offering modifications and progressions

This model creates an incredibly empowering experience for families; and leads to increased carryover in between in person intensives as you gain confidence in supporting your child in between sessions.

Is this option right for me and my child?

Virtual intensives are a great option for families who:

- Are looking for additional assistance and support in between in person intensives

-Cannot travel for intensives and do not have access to therapy in person on a consistent basis

-Want support inside their home...problem solving mobility issues, setting up environment that will assist their child in development, etc

-Want to become more comfortable with handling and assisting their child in exercises and general mobility

Benefits include:

-Natural environment learning

-Parent/caregiver empowerment

-Consistency of building in designated time each day dedicated to your child's goals

-Keeps momentum going in between in person sessions

What do I need to have in order to participate?

-Device to access meeting on

-Small open space in your home

-Any motivating items for your child

A note from me

These home-based virtual coaching sessions were created because so many families have voiced wanting to feel more confident supporting movement and development at home as well as having access to ongoing support and guidance.

As a pediatric physical therapist, one of the biggest gaps I see is what happens once families return to their everyday routines after an in-person session or intensive. Life gets busy, schedules shift and it can feel hard to keep momentum going without support.

My hope is that this space fills that need.

Together, we'll look at everything from functional mobility and movement patterns to positioning, home safety, and practical day-to-day exercises. I can meet you and your child right where you are (literally) in your home environment, with your people, and within your daily rhythms.

Most importantly, these sessions are designed to empower you; to help you feel confident, capable, and equipped with strategies you can use throughout the day to support your child's movement and development in meaningful ways.
